Formal things
I’m a designer & developer currently based in Seattle, working on the Ethics team at Microsoft.
I graduated from Brown in computer science but have always been passionate about its intersection with design. My classes at Brown ranged from Database Systems to Killer Love: Literature in Passion & Crime , so I’ve always felt really lucky to have had the diverse college experience that I did.
I’ve worked at places such as Microsoft, Google, and the U.S. Department of State and have learned a ton along the way. Currently, I’m fascinated in understanding the adverse effects of technology on society and how design can change that. While I’m a product manager by day, I’m always interested in side projects, reach out to me at sharonlo101@gmail.com if you’d want to work together!
